Anusha Chari understands the frustration that many women economists feel. The Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise senior faculty fellow, economics professor and professor of finance at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School has studied the issues of equity and parity for female economists, and has published a paper on the underrepresentation of women at the National Bureau of Economic Research’s summer institute.
Chari’s work, which was highlighted at the American Economic Association (AEA) meeting on Jan. 6., was cited in a recent article in The Economist. Chari also spoke recently about her findings with The Chronicle of Higher Education.
