Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise Announces Frontiers of Entrepreneurship Research Grant Award Recipients
The Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise has awarded six 2019 Frontiers of Entrepreneurship research grants to 11 scholars from around the globe. Each $10,000 grant will be used to support a wide array of research on strategy, finance, innovation and other entrepreneurship issues of interest to practitioners and policymakers.
The invitation-only Frontiers of Entrepreneurship conference convenes top academics, policymakers and practitioners to help chart the course for entrepreneurship research. The awarded grants will fund studies linked to five priority focus areas identified at this year’s conference.
“The Frontiers of Entrepreneurship conference explores the most challenging issues in the field of entrepreneurship,” said Ashley Brown, director of Research Services for the Kenan Institute. “The research we’ve chosen to support with these grants will be of critical and practical importance to ensuring the health of entrepreneurship in the U.S. and beyond.”

The grants are valid for two years, and recipients will have the chance to present their research at a future Frontiers of Entrepreneurship conference. The 2020 conference will be held Jan. 30-31 at The Breakers in Palm Beach, Fla.
