Scaling as you Grow from Double Digit to Triple Digit Revenue: The Story Behind Relias – Loudermilk 107

Under Jim Triandiflou’s leadership, Cary-founded Relias has grown from $20mm to $250mm revenue, completed 15 acquisitions (including their largest competitor), and opened offices in London, Berlin and Beijing.

Vickie Gibbs, Executive Director of the Entrepreneurship Center at UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School, Founder and Principal of Marlow Consulting Group, and Venture Partner at Cofounders Capital, will interview Jim on the story behind Relias’ impressive growth and the operational challenges and milestones along the way.

Charlotte-based AvidXchange was launched on the day the dot-com bubble burst and has grown into the country’s 9th largest fintech company, with thousands of employees. Co-founder and Company Evangelist, Chris Elmore, will discuss how dealing with patterns proactively, getting comfortable with chaos, and staying out of their own way helped AvidXchange on its journey to unicorn status.

Today there are more funding options and exit strategies for growth stage SaaS businesses than ever before. This session will review the pros and cons of various types of financing, the financial impact for founders, and the relationships between management and investors along different exit paths, including IPO, strategic sale and a majority recap with a private equity sponsor.
