Perceptive and Prescient: Experts’ Projections on Global Trade Hit the Mark

In April of this year, the Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise hosted the day-long Global Trade, Global Tradeoffs: Emerging Challenges in International Commerce conference. Key thought leaders from academia, industry and government convened at the Kenan Center in Chapel Hill to explore how international trade is impacting markets and communities around the world.

The Kenan Institute interviewed several of these experts, including Professor Jagdish Bhagwati, one of the world’s foremost authorities on international trade, globalization and international economics. This video showcases the experts’ thoughts on the U.S. role in global trade, presenting several uncannily perceptive predictions that are key to the current trade debate.
