Background

A North Carolina native, I grew up on the coast in Wilmington, NC.  I received my B.A. from Williams College in Art History, with significant coursework in Middle Eastern History, Political Science, and Biology. Summer internships at the Telfair Museums, National Center for Environmental Health (CDC), and a coalition of environmental organizations exposed me to different industries and organization types.  I also spent a semester abroad in Siena, Italy, studying at the Siena School for Liberal Arts. After college, I moved to New York City to explore law as a Legal Assistant for Stone Bonner & Rocco LLP.  My experience at this boutique financial litigation firm piqued my interest in business through the lens of complex cases involving securities, class action, anti-terrorism financing, and commercial matters.

Career Path

The decision to pursue an MBA at UNC Kenan-Flagler was a natural one for me. I hope to pair the quantitative and leadership skills I am learning at business school with strong critical thinking and analytical skills I developed through my liberal arts education and legal experience. I am thrilled and honored to participate in the Kenan Institute Leadership Fellows program. Under the mentorship of Brent Lane, I plan to spend some of my time as a KILF exploring how to utilize business and economic toolkits to further cultural heritage preservation.

Interests & Hobbies

Some of my favorite pastimes are kayaking, antiquing, and rock climbing.  I have greatly enjoyed my time studying/traveling abroad in Italy, China, and the United Kingdom, and hope to participate in some of the international experiences offered by UNC Kenan-Flagler.
