MBA Kenan Scholars

Overview

The Kenan Institute’s MBA Kenan Scholars Program is the premier research opportunity for UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School MBA students. Scholars gain real-world research experience through a year-long apprenticeship. They enroll in a research seminar during the first year of their MBA program (Mods III and IV and the following year’s Mods I and II). Scholars earn 3-course credits while working directly with world-renowned faculty researchers. Guided by a faculty advisor and program staff, scholars hone their business knowledge while building their research competencies and analytic capabilities.

Activities

Scholars strengthen their critical thinking and problem-solving skills through active participation in:

  • Bi-weekly strategy sessions
  • Networking opportunities at Kenan Institute’s invitation-only events
  • Lunch roundtables
  • Mentoring sessions
  • Professional and leadership development opportunities
