Patrick Vernon teaches courses at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School on the topics of new venture analysis, artistic entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial consulting. He also directs the international Venture Capital Investment Competition (VCIC®), a network of 40 events worldwide created and coordinated by UNC. He serves as faculty advisor for Carolina Challenge, a campus-wide business plan competition. Prior to joining UNC Kenan-Flagler, Vernon was an entertainment entrepreneur, founding an independent record label based in Los Angeles. With his band, The Zookeepers, he released four CDs and performed 500 shows in the United States and Europe. He received a B.S. in Audio Technology from American University and an M.B.A. from UNC Kenan-Flagler with a concentration in Entrepreneurship.
